1. This ad is stating that big time corporations will go to any measure to create a cheap and sellable product. They have been accused of running sweatshops for cheap labor as well as destroying the environment for resources. It conveys a mood of anger and disgust in the actions of the corporations. I feel like the corporations do abuse workers as well as the environment to create their highly commercialized product.

2. The Unswoosher ad campaign seems to downplay the use of technology to create a more natural product. It uses a hand drawn ant-logo as well as organic materials.

3. The main features are the all natural hemp upper, hand-drawn anti-logo, vegetarian leather, union made soles, and recycled tires for the soles. These features show how most products the US offers are outsourced to different companies and done with the cheapest material, yet priced the same.

1. The advertisment is more on the side of a parody product, due to its awful appearance and ridiculous claims. It attacks many of big corporation methods of production and materials used.

2. The advertisment is designed to compare the materials and processes used by Nike, with all natural, and environmentally friendly resources. It also demonstrates their political sensibilites by discussing Nike’s terrible methods as well as advertising American-friendly, Union made soles.

3. The visual and textual elements work together to form a strong liberal opinion that is very keen on environmentally and humane products.

4. The logo conveys an attiude of rebellion and also acts as a symbol for it. The plain and unappealing design makes it the opposite of Nike’s swoosh, showing dislike in the design by Nike.

2.) The target audience for this ad is mainly teens and young adults, but is relevant to all. This ad mainly targets teens and young adults, because they are most likely to begin using drugs. If they can stop the problem before it begins, the ad is successful.

3.) The ad uses logos. The logos pertains to a video game format, which are most popular among the intended age group. It also uses ethos to appeal to the emotions of sadness and the desire to have no regret.

4.) This ad definitley appeals mostly to the need to feel safe advertisment appeal. This would appeal to the target audience, becuase generally, most would not like to harm themselves in any way. It also appeals to the need for curiosity. This target audience is most likely to experiment and try new things, as they are discovering how to become their own person.

5.) The proportion of the ad makes the character and text stand out. Also, it has perfect movement allowing you to read left to right while still picturing the entire ad. Also it has great unity due to the combination of text, graphic, and background. All three use a digital, retro-videogame style to create a well flowing ad. The balance is the last great point of the ad. The picture is fully centered along with the text, drawing you right to the most important part of the advertisement.

6.)The ad uses the stereotype of teens liking video games. It is a good idea to attract those who the ad specifically pertains to.

7.) The ad will still influence viewers outside of the demographic, because the message is relevant to everyone. Anyone can throw their life away and lose control.

8.) I feel that this is a very effective ad, solely on the ethos side of appeals. Personally, it appealed to me greatly, seeing as the message is to not ruin your life. Many that destroy their lives and lose control of themselves due to drugs and alcohol have a higher rate of suicide and depression. This emotional appeal works well to evoke sadness and remorse.

The image Ichose is an anti-smoking ad. It depicts a very attractive, young girl with two cigarettes in her ears. It states that smoking will destroy your good looks. This ad appeals to the entire male audience, as well as young, good-looking girls. The males with see the ad and then read it due to the beautiful girl. Young girls will see that a good-looking woman could lose her good looks from smoking, therefore scaring them away from smoking. The ad definitley uses logos. It appeals to you in a logical and straightforward sense, seeing as you will become less beautiful by harming your body with smoke. Since it is generally known that smoking darkens teeth, decreases the age at which you recieve permanent wrinkles, and also can lead to poor nail complexion, it is logical to say it will ruin your looks. The article has very strong movement, because you can easily read from top to bottom and understand the ad. Also, the unity of the advertisment as a whole is very good. It utilizes dark colors throughout the ad making it very smooth and easy to read. The creator didn’t do that great of a job on the proportion of the ad, specifically with the text. Using a dark background, along with dark text, the reader could have trouble seeing the words, therefore destroying the point of the advertisment. The ad contains very good balance in a few different aspects. The text is solely at the top of the page, along with the face of the woman, which draws all of your attention to the top. Doing so, you read the most important aspect of the ad most intently. The ad does it’s best in appealing to the need for sex, as listed in the fifteen appeals. The ad contains a very beautiful woman, which would draw the attention of almost anyone who glances at her. She is also standing in a very provacative manner, drawing specific attention from male viewers. This ad also contains a very aesthetic component, making it very dark yet beautiful. The pastels and dark message are offset by a strikingly beautiful woman, creating an elegance and desire in quitting smoking. Overall I think that this is a great ad that uses sex appeal in a tasteful and good-natured manner. The ad is very provacative and will gain the attention of male viewers, and young female viewers alike.

1. The author was motivated by humor and prostitution.

2. The primary purpose is to attract attention to the product, so it can be purchased.

3. The image uses warm, inviting colors with a hilarious slogan. This definitley attracts the viewers attention.

4. The response he/she is attempting to evoke is that of surprise, humility, and attention.

5. It is fitting, and alcohol, beer specifically, can be used in the process of prostitution.

6. The image conforms well to the medium. They seem to work well together and the message is conveyed.

7. The author intended the image to be viewed originally in poster form, but drew so much attention that it was moved to the bottle.

8. It has been reproduced on the face of the bottle, giving it more meaning and more frequently seen by customers.
